Denton Fire Station 9 combines traditional emergency services with Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) for the Denton Enterprise Airport. The innovative 2-story design minimizes the building footprint while enhancing response time, with living areas situated close to the bays. The facility features an elevated patio for observation of airport traffic and incorporates design elements reminiscent of traditional airplane hangars. Unique features include quick egress fire poles, a custom infrared sauna, and a locker vestibule for privacy. The station supports seven personnel with dedicated dorms, restrooms, and a fitness area, while the day room provides tiered seating and a view into the bay, ensuring a functional and comfortable environment for first responders.
