North Hays Fire Station No. 74
Building aesthetics for Station 74 are designed to comply with the residential developmentās rigid guidelines — the Texas Hill-Country limestone, corrugated metal panels, roof slopes, and pale green cement-plaster finish match other prominent community facilities within the community.
A rain harvesting system accents the building aesthetics while utilizing rainwater for irrigation and washing of fire apparatus.
The open concrete area in front of the office/conference area provides a smooth, flat, and durable surface for promotion ceremonies and outdoor training activities, while also providing space for future administration/training building addition without needing to re-work site storm detention and drainage for allowable impervious area calculations.
