Texas Fire Department Facilities Best Practices
Martinez Architects partnered with the San Antonio Fire Department to sponsor, host, organize, and moderate the 2nd annual FD Facilities Conference, which brings fire departments together from across the state of Texas and beyond to share Lessons Learned about all things facilities: planning, funding, design, construction, maintenance, and more.

Clean PSB (Public Safety Building)
Martinez Architects is a proud supporter and participant in all CleanPSB events and activities. CleanPSB is a Nationwide event series and certification created, planned, and hosted by CORE Construction, one of our key construction partners in the world of public safety facilities.

2021 First Responder Holistic Wellness Event — Martinez’ firm partner Justin Myers was honored to give the closing remarks at an event that including presentations by fire and police chiefs from Florida to Arizona and Texas to Illinois. The content focused on practices within first responder organizations that can improve mental, physical, and emotional wellness in fire fighters and police officers.
2022 Public Safety Risk Management Event — Martinez Architects and CORE Construction partnered with Mesa, AZ Fire Department to sponsor the testing and study of diesel particulate matter in two separate fire stations, one old with a new apparatus, and the other old with a new apparatus. We presented the findings and plans for continued studies at the conference for Texas’ fire and police personnel. The event key-note speaker was Gordon Graham, who reviewed the 10 Rules of Risk.
