The Woodlands Central Fire Station
The 26,000 SF facility for The Woodlands Township was awarded the “Career Gold Design Award” by Fire Chief Magazine. It is a state-of-the-art combination facility housing Fire & EMS responders, a 9-1-1 regional dispatch center, a flexible training room / emergency operations center, administrative office for the Township, and offices for the Montgomery County Fire Marshal Office. The 2-story station was designed by firm partners Ricardo Martinez and Justin Myers while employed with a prior firm (Joiner). The design was the result of a collaboration with community members and the Township’s design review committee. Through various iterations and options presented during Town Hall Meetings, detailed digital models were analyzed for owner and public understanding and acceptance.
